John Myrtle is Associate Investigator in the ARC Centre of Excellence in Policing and Security, working on the project Historical Threats, including the history of security and intelligence policing. John’s career as a professional librarian included his distinguished service as Principal Librarian, J V Barry Library, Australian Institute of Criminology, 1986 – 2003; a member of the Scientific Commission, International Society of Criminology, 2000 – 2003;  and a Founder member and member of the Steering Committee, World Criminal Justice Library Network, 1991 – 2003.
