Dr Bryn Hughes currently manages an AFP-funded research project which aims to develop a framework for assessing the performance of international policing. Bryn has a PhD from the University of Queensland on Democracy, Identity and Political Violence. He has a Master’s of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics. His areas of interest and publications are in the areas of peacekeeping, Civilian policing performance measurement frameworks; security sector reform, critical security studies, identity, and the Democratic Peace Theory. He has previously lectured courses on peacekeeping and peace and conflict studies.
