Dr Michael Townsley is currently a lecturer in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Griffith University. His current work focuses on crime mapping, crime simulation and crime analysis and investigation. Prior to 2007, Dr Townsley was a Senior Research Fellow at the UCL Jill Dando Institute of Crime Science. His research related to problem oriented policing, prolific offenders and crime analysis. He has worked in the field of criminology for over ten years and has conducted research funded by the ESRC, the British Academy, the Home Office, ACPO and ONR.
