| Adrian Cherney a.cherney@uq.edu.au (07) 3365 4554 | Dr Adrian Cherney teaches Criminology in the School of Social Science at The University of Queensland. He received his PhD in 2003 from the University of Melbourne. He has published and completed research on crime prevention policy and practice, partnerships, drug law enforcement, and police engagement of external agencies. He is currently a recipient of two Australian Research Council grants. He is the lead investigator along with A/Prof Tina Murphy on an ARC Discovery project that is examining police ethnic group interactions. He is also a Chief Investigator on an ARC Linkage grant along with Prof Brian Head and Prof Paul Boreham that is undertaking research into the utilization of social science research within policy contexts. He is also a recipient of a UQ Early Career Research grant that is examining the impact of grant funded social science research, with a focus on ARC Linkage projects.
