International Advisory Board
The International Advisory Board (IAB) provides strategic advice to the CEPS Executive, and facilitates improved and new links with government, industry, research institutions and other stakeholders. The membership of the Board changed in 2010, with a reduction of university representations. This is in line with the recommendations from the ARC Review in 2009 to include greater external input on vision and expertise.
The Board currently consists of:
- Professor Duncan Chappell (Chair) - Professor, University of Sydney
- Commissioner Ian Stewart - Commissioner, Queensland Police Service (ex officio)
- Professor Simon Bronitt - Centre Director, Griffith University (ex officio)
- Commissioner Ken Lay - Commissioner, Victoria Police (ex officio)
- Commissioner Tony Negus - Commissioner, Australian Federal Police (ex officio)
- His Excellency, William (Bill) Paterson - Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade
- Dr Russell Trood - Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of Australia for Eastern Europe and Adjunct Professor, University of Sydney, US Studies Centre
- Professor Simon Verdun-Jones, Simon Fraser University, School of Criminology
- Professor Monica de Boer - Police Academy of the Netherlands
- Professor Jianping LU - Beijing Normal University
- Dr Robert Gordon - Fraser University, Vancouver
- Professor Veronica Taylor - Professor and Director-Designate of the School of Regulation, Justice and Diplomacy, The Australian National University
